Organization: United Nations University
Country: Japan
Closing date: 31 Jan 2016

The UNU Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) is now accepting applications for the UNU-IAS Postdoctoral Fellowships to the Water Urban Initiative. The closing date for applications is 31 January 2016.

Through the UNU-IAS Postdoctoral Fellowship programme, recent PhD graduates can put the knowledge and expertise acquired during their doctoral research to practical, policy-relevant use. The programme provides young scientists, policymakers and scholars — especially from developing countries — with the opportunity to expand their intellectual vision beyond a single academic field.

UNU-IAS Postdoctoral Fellowships, which start in April 2016, are offered for 12 months. Postdoctoral candidates must have completed a PhD degree, and their current research must be closely related to the thematic areas of the Water Urban Initiative at UNU-IAS.

Completed applications must be submitted to UNU-IAS by 31 January 2016. Applications will only be considered if they are complete and all required documentation have been received.
