Japan: Medical Product Specialist (Asia Region) - MSF Japan

This position for MSF Logistics in Tokyo will contribute to the efficiency of the MSF movement, by developing the knowledge of the Asian market for pharmaceutical and medical products, and by increasing the available sources from that market. He/She will have to select the most adapted products for the needs of the operations, guaranteeing the best conditions in terms of quality and availability, respecting the internal regulations of MSF and MSF Logistics (France).

  • Main Responsibilities -

  • To analyse the needs of the MSF operations;

  • To suggest solutions for potential cost savings, reduce risk of shortages etc.;

  • To analyse the market and the sourcing with a special focus on the East and South East Asian (ESEA) markets;

  • To provide support for validation processes; to collect preliminary info from identified supplier / to build a dossier for MSF International Office (IO) review within the framework of the MSF validation process for new sources and products / to coordinate audits and technical visits when required / to perform Quality Assurance for dossiers analysis (when required) / to update the database of the products and of the products and suppliers / to support in negotiationis and contract management / to provide technical advices when required.

Essential

  • Degree in Pharmacy
  • Written and spoken English business level
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office environment
  • Autonomous, proactive and organized.

Desirable

  • Professional experience of minimum 3 years within the industry in the ESEA region
  • Proven experience in quality control roles within the industry
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following languges will be a very important asset; Japanese / Mandarine / Korean.
