RET Japan is a Japanese humanitarian non-for-profit organization (NPO, officially registered in Tokyo), committed to working in emergencies and fragile environments in Asia and around the world to ensure the protection and resilience of vulnerable young people through education. Our parent organization, RET International was founded in 2000 by Mrs. Sadako Ogata, as she was ending her second term as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and Mrs. Françoise Demole, at the time Vice-Chaire of the Foundation pour Genève, long-time supporter of UNHCR.

We are currently looking for a Japanese staff to represent RET in Japan as follows:

  • Legally and administratively representing for RET Japan as Japanese resident representative to the Japanese authorities, financial institutions, and other partners in Japan

  • Preparing monthly payment of RET Japan, correctly booking in timely manner, and reporting his/her supervisor in the RET

  • Preparing annual activity reports and financial documents for General Assembly of RET Japan and reporting his/her supervisor in the RET HQ in a timely manner

  • Developing relationship with the government of Japan and other Japanese partners and reporting his/her supervisor in the RET HQ

  • Supporting the diplomatic missions of CEO & Executive Director

  • Proposal and report development

Requirement

  • This is a part-time and home-based position – 1 day per week (i.e. 20%, to be discussed)

  • Being based in Japan (preferably, in Tokyo)

  • Flexibility and ability to work remotely

  • At least a Bachelor in relevant field

  • Fluent in English and Japanese
